[XIP-3] Insertion of an Xyxyx Trademark on 1x1
Abstract
This proposal outlines the insertion of an Xyxyx trademark on the 1x1 tokenization model.
Motivation
The goal of inserting an Xyxyx trademark on every token derived from the 1x1 tokenization model is twofold:
- To establish protocol sovereignty over 1x1, one of Xyxyx’s core products.
- To position the Xyxyx trademark as a provenance badge within the tokenization market.
Rationale
Trademarking products is a common practice, seen in various contexts — from credit cards (e.g., the Visa logo) to personal gadgets (e.g., the Apple logo on iPhones) and even central banknotes (e.g., US Dollar bills with Department of Treasury stamps).
By exclusively identifying the 1x1 tokenization model with the Xyxyx trademark, it reinforces Xyxyx’s intellectual property of the product.
Specifications
The Xyxyx trademark will be placed in a standardized position and size on the token output.
- The trademark color will match the ‘Font’ color defined by the user.
- Specifically, the trademark will appear in the bottom right corner of the token output.
- The Xyxyx logo (not the logomark) is used as the trademark
- As part of the Xyxyx Launchpad standard, the trademark will be inserted using SVG vector graphics.
- Importantly, issuers cannot circumvent the insertion of the trademark, which is enforced at a Front End level.
